What kind of "prompting system" did CC decide on for the history cards?
There are two ways that you can prompt for history, date or subject. Given the age of Foundations’ students, the Foundations Team decided on a name (or event) for prompting versus the date. Of course, we suggest parents teach students both prompts, but for the purposes of creating a review tool, a name of a person or event was chosen. Often in reading and history studies students hear names of people and events, and we want them to associate the history peg with that name. see sample cards

Directors will find this strategic decision will aid in the clarity of prompting for Memory Master proofing!

How would you suggest using the Geography cards?
Use Geography cards with a blank map and have students name each location that is associated with the “area name” on the front of the card, and then locate each location on the back of the card on the blank map!
